Collaboration is here: Introducing shared lists

At Hoop, our mission is to simplify managing the work about work, so you can focus on what's actually important. Many of you have been asking for the ability to share tasks with teammates, so you can work together more easily.

Today, we’re taking a big step forward by introducing shared lists.

Shared lists let you and your teammates see and manage tasks together in one place. Whether you're tackling a big project or just trying to keep day-to-day work moving smoothly, you can now create a shared view of tasks, assign action items, and keep everyone in the loop, all inside Hoop.

More collaboration, more transparency

Until now, Hoop has focused on making sure you never miss a task. But collaboration has always been part of how work gets done. We heard you: you wanted an easy way to share what needs doing, who’s doing it, and what’s next.

Shared lists help you:

Create visibility: Everyone sees the same list of tasks, so priorities are clear.
Delegate and assign: Assign tasks to teammates directly in Hoop to keep work moving without endless back-and-forth.
Promote accountability: When a task has an owner, it’s far more likely to get done. Shared lists make ownership obvious and updates transparent.

How it works

Sign into your Hoop account and:

Click on "Add list" on the left hand side.
Invite teammates to the list by clicking on the "+" at the top right.
Add tasks by dragging them into the list from "My Hoop" or from the task detail view.
Assign tasks to yourself or others.
Group tasks within a list together. You can also create sections within the list to better organize tasks.

Everyone can see updates in real-time, making it easy to stay aligned without needing yet another meeting or Slack thread.

Suggested tasks

As you add more tasks to a list, Hoop learns the types of tasks you'd like to see and automatically suggests relevant tasks. See these suggestions at the top of a list that has five or more existing tasks. You can accept the task or drag it into the list. And suggested tasks are private to you until you add them to the list, so you don't need to worry about tasks appearing for others until you add them yourself.

We’re building a more collaborative Hoop, one where teams can not only capture tasks automatically but also work together efficiently to get them done. Our goal is to help teams spend less time managing work and still get everything done. You can expect even more features that make it even easier to collaborate, plan, and celebrate progress.
