Each day, we're drowning in tasks that demand our time and attention. Many of these are important, but also may not be a priority. So many of us struggle to use our time productively to move tasks that matter forward, and often it's because we don't have a clear idea of what to work on next.
We're excited to introduce a new feature that helps answer that question correctly every single time: π§ Focus Mode.
Hoop already automatically captures tasks across tools like meetings (Google Meet and Zoom), chat (Slack) and forwarded emails. These tasks come into an "Incoming" list and you have the option of adding labels to tasks.Β
Now, you can tell Hoop what your priorities are and Hoop will automatically label tasks as "Important" when they match your priorities.
Click on the "Focus" toggle on the top right of your screen. A new "Define Priorities" box will pop up. You can either write in your priorities, or Hoop will make suggestions on what your Priorities might be based on eight or more tasks in your incoming list.
Once Hoop knows your priorities, Incoming tasks that match those priorities will be automatically labeled as "Important." You don't need to do anything other than indicate what your priorities are, and Hoop will just know what to label. Isn't AI magical? β¨
Let's say you want to only see your "Important" tasks so you know which tasks to prioritize in a given moment. Simply toggle "Focus" in the top right of your screen on, and any task that doesn't have an "Important" label will disappear in this view. This leaves you with just the important tasks you should focus on.
You can toggle between Focus and the default view anytime. You can also customize the color and icon of the "Important" label so it matches the right vibe.
This creates a powerful workflow within Hoop where you can instantly see your prioritized tasks at any time. You can also change your priorities at any given cadence so your task list is always up to date.
Give it a try and let us know what you think!
